Flugplatz Gersthofen-Gablingen, was an airfield north of Augsburg in Bavaria, Germany. After use as a Flying School during World War I, it was closed as a condition of the Versailles treaty. Reopened in 1936 by the Luftwaffe, it was again used as a pilot training base. Forced labor from nearby Dachau labor camp were used in Messerschmitt production in underground tunnels as early as 1941.
